Pros Learning opportunities. Cons Pay and hike. If you deny, they will put you on bench and fire you after few days. They do not value your work. Pros Nothing Good here. Yes There are 2 helpful reviews 2 No. If you want to learn up to date market technologies this is good company for you. Individuals focus is less but good work life balance.
Sometimes it is hectic. Pros Lot of resources to learn, good long-term clients clients. Cons Less vacation, No k match at higher level, Hard to meet goals sometime. The training was paid and I was reeled in by the fact that the work was something I was interested in and could advance my career in technology. The benefits and pay were great too, along with the free snacks and drinks hot and cold. I quickly learned near the end of my training days that we were considered second class to trainers and people in other positions, like management.
You were easily replaceable and were treated as such. The quality scores you have to meet are tough and nothing like training prepares you for, so you're in danger of having a low score after a few months and after numerous policy changes.
If anything, I can handle a high stress work environment now due to how ridiculously fast this one was. Near the end of my time there, morale was low with people I had trained with and most had been fired or went on to other jobs. No one was satisfied with what had happened and it was FAR from what we had been promised in our interviews and training.
Management did little to help us besides a half thought out training class that was hard to pass, since you needed perfect scores on every test you took. After that, you were considered to be "draining" company resources and many scrambled to look for work before being fired.
Pros Free snacks, drinks and coffee, Clean work environment, Good benefits. Cons Short breaks, Little to no onsite help, Treated like second class citizens due to position.
Productive and fun place to work based on project Associate Former Employee - Chennnai - October 18, Nice company to have a mild career in IT.
Do your work and try to be best and you don't need to think about job security. No layoff till manager level. General service company atmosphere. Pros Job security. Cons No rapid growth and hike average. Company is good provided you are in good project, you might get good hike if performed well. Most of the projects are US based. There are onsite opportunities. Cognizant lost a potentially great employee because they would not help me out. When I first started with Cognizant, I was on a 4 10 hour day schedule.
This schedule wore me out quickly. I begged them to switch me to a schedule where I did not have to work 4 10s in a row. They refused to do it, even though I pointed out to them that they could have switched me with a new hire and it would not have made a difference. I would have been a great a employee and would be a supervisor by now I am sure. Pros Good people generally. Cons Inflexible when creating schedules. Nice working here in cognizant. Generally Chaotic.
Pros: Working here affords great opportunities to work on new technologies and projects. Cons: The level of execution toward a defined strategy is nearly non-existent. The general approach is "fire fighting" or the "Crisis of the Day. Pros: Work culture. Learning progress. Cons: The company can have better perks to older employees.
Nice place to work. Pros: Interacting with all the top management. Cons: Direct management never recognizes the real person who works. Strongly Dissatisfied. Pros: Frankly speaking I didn't find anything good here since I joined this company. Cons: First of all I got the offer from on campus placement and thereafter I had to wait 9 months to get the official joining letter which wasted near about a year in my career. Then after joining right from the training period whatever I have seen here I can include them in cons list only.
Work culture is bad, too much of politics. Then you can't have any personal life here if you are working here, you can't have any other hobbies or dreams to follow. Even if you worked hard there is no guarantee that you will get recognition for this. I really regret my decision in joining this company. Programmer Analyst:.
Pros: Culture is good. Cognizant has been a very rewarding and helpful company that puts their employees first. However, they make up for this as they are able to still provide benefits, PTO and consistent company culture, even through the pandemic.
If anyone wants a good start and a good place to work and grow a career, Cognizant would be a great place to look into. They let you do various certifications and training. Changed the focus to bios approach. Good talent leaving the company, impacting the morale and business growth.
Overall it's a good company". I mostly worked with its clients CitiGroup and PepsiCo. Day to Day to work activities fully based on Client's work culture. CTS gives employees a free hand to handle customers with the ultimate objective of customer satisfaction. We could easily approach higher level managers. Culture was good their pay package was great and competitive.
I have enjoyed working with my team on various customer projects.
